Leaving Aix-en-Provence we rejoined the National Route 7 which is mainly sign-posted as the DN7 at this stage. The road generally runs in parallel to the A8 down to Chateauneuf-le-Rouge and through vineyards and gorgeous countryside to Saint-Maximin-la-Saint-Baume, Tourves and Brignoles (where the Clooney's live!). Take the road on to Flassans-sur-Issole and on to Le Luc. Here we left the National Route 7 to join the D558 that winds across the Massif through La Garde-Freinet and Grimaud then on to Saint Tropez.

We are particularly fond of Saint Tropez and try to spend at least a week there every year. This year we had a fabulous AirBnB apartment hosted by Flann which was right near the Place de Lice and had its own underground garage accessed via a carlift - Happy Days for MoneyPenny. https://www.airbnb.com.au/rooms/1236266934044051800?guests=1&adults=1&s=67&unique_share_id=64e6cb8f-3a34-4942-b9db-0aa7002d6dab

We enjoyed delicious oysters at our favourite spot at the Port, spent time at Pamplonne beach reading, swimming, soaking up the sun and enjoying delicious seafood and shopping for my next summer's wardrobe in Saint-Maxime. It's always a delight!

Next we are driving west along the coast to Hyeres.
